"We will light the Love sign and send up sky lanterns in remembrance and honor of our brothers and sisters whose lives were taken at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. We will light the LOVE sign and send up sky lanterns in remembrance and honor of ALL victims of gun violence, violence and hate. We will light the LOVE sign, and send up sky lanterns, and say their names. We will need dozens of volunteers to hold lanterns, and we are sad about this, that we will need dozens of volunteers... We will say the names of women and children taken by violence and hate in our own neighborhoods."
Last year, in celebration of the new ARThouse, German and her students decorated the space with lights and threw a small party for everyone who helped her make the ARThouse what it is now.
